OUR CLIENT REVIEWS
"I was traveling through a construction zone when another drive turned and crossed right in front of me. There was no way I could stop.
My car was totaled, and my back and shoulder were severely injured. Both injuries would require surgery and therapy to relieve the pain. My doctors decided I should have back surgery first, then, when I had recovered and was healthy enough, I would have the shoulder surgery.
This was a long, complicated process with a lot of different people involved, including the at-fault driver’s insurance company, my insurance company, my doctors and the hospital. It could have been so much more confusing and difficult if I didn’t have great attorneys representing me and protecting my interests.
My attorneys began by working with the at-fault driver’s insurance company to get them to take care of the medical bills related to my back, as well as my pain, suffering and ongoing treatment for other injuries. But there was a problem. The hospital wanted to take all the money from my settlemnt with the at-fault driver to cover their bills. There would have been nothing left for my ongoing treatment or other expenses.
On top of that, I developed an infection in my lungs. Because I was sick, the doctor’s wouldn’t clear me to have shoulder surgery. My shoulder was hurting so bad, and I couldn’t use my right hand. I desperately needed more care for my shoulder while we waited until I was healthy enough for my surgery, but my insurance company said they would pay. They were accusing me of procrastinating and delaying my surgery.”
I didn’t know what to do. Then Julie stepped in and took over my case. Right from the start, she was amazing — confident, comforting and reassuring. Julie gathered statements, including ones on video, from my doctors explaining why I needed but couldn’t have the surgery yet and provided them to my insurance company. Thanks to Julie, the hospital reduced their bills, and my insurance company agreed to pay for my ongoing treatment. Even though I’m still waiting to be cleared for shoulder surgery, I’m getting the help and the compensation I need to manage my pain. No matter how much the insurance company or the hospital pushed back, Julie kept fighting for me.”
"You never know when you might be in an auto accident. For me, it was February 2017.
A driver slammed into the rear of my car. They hit me going almost 70 miles per hour. I knew I was injured, but I didn’t know how badly. And my car, well … I knew I needed an attorney, but I didn’t know who to call. A friend recommended Julie Luhrsen.
Julie was amazing. She listened, answered all my questions, and made me feel like everything was going to be all right. Of course, it was a process. I had several injuries — herniated discs in my neck and back, shoulder injuries. I needed a lot of medical care. I had to see several doctors, including a spine surgeon. There will bills to pay and appointments to make, but I didn’t have to deal with any of that. Julie took care of it. She was always there, checking on me, making sure I remembered appointments, making sure I could get to them OK, or reaching out just to see how I was doing. She took care of it so I could focus on getting better.
When I think back, it was really surprising how much she took care of for me. So many things! And it was amazing to have her emotional support through this process as well. She was so comforting, so helpful, whatever I needed. When I got a medical bill in the mail, I would call her, and Julie would say, ‘Yes, I have it. We’re taking care of it.’ She was on top of everything.
Additionally, Julie was able to get me compensation for the work I missed, whether it was from my initial recovery, or, later, due to medical appointments. With Julie’s help, I never had to worry!”
"My girlfriend and I were stopped at a stop sign when we were rear-ended by another vehicle.
The collision totaled my car and caused serious injuries to both of us.
I immediately contacted my insurance company, but they weren’t any help at all. I didn’t know what to do next, but I remembered seeing Julie Luhrsen’s office as I drove back and forth to work, so I called and made an appointment.
In our first meeting, Julie listened to our situation and my frustrations with the insurance company. She made excellent suggestions and helped me understand my options. I didn’t know the laws, what my rights were, what I needed to do, and what the deadlines were. Julie was patient, helpful and very thorough. She answered all my questions and gave me the direction I needed.
First thing, she suggested I see a doctor, because physically I wasn’t OK. Two years later, I’m still on medical leave because of my injuries. Even though I was in pain, I walked out of that first meeting feeling much more confident and comfortable, because I knew what I needed to do and what would happen next.
Julie helped me connect with doctors so I could get the right tests and treatments for my back and neck. Her recommendations were always really good, very helpful.
Looking back, I think one of the most important things she did was to get the insurance company communicating. Initially, they just weren’t getting back to me, not responding at all. Once Julie got involved, that changed. I don’t know what she did, but it really got their attention!
Julie’s communication with me was great, too. Throughout the process, I always knew what to expect, when things were happening and what I needed to do next. She even kept track of my medical bills and made sure they were getting paid.
I hope what happened to me never happens to anyone, but if it does, I would highly recommend they call Julie Luhrsen first. She’s knowledgeable, caring, and she took great care of me through the whole process.”
"I was in a car accident, rear-ended, back in May 2014. I'd never been in an accident that severe ...
… My car was totaled, and I ended up with a concussion. I didn’t know what to do, but I knew I should have representation for whatever came next.
I signed on with another law firm, and that didn’t go well at all. Their communication was not good. They had no time for me. I would call, and they didn’t call back. Then I found out they were doing things on my behalf without explaining, without advising me, or even asking me.
Finally, I had enough of that, so I called Christina Goldberg.
It was like night and day. Christina was direct and honest, but also very professional and kind. She understood my frustration with my situation. Before I was even her client, she took the time to explain everything to me.
She read through all my paperwork, explained what the terms meant, what was required of me and when, was was being down on my behalf, and what my responsibilities were. She gave me all that time, and that earned my trust. At that point, we went through the process of transferring my representation to Christina.
Throughout the process, Christina’s communication was excellent. Any time anything happened on my file, or if she had questions, she quickly called. I always knew what was happening. And, the day before a deposition, she brought me into her office to go through what to expect and what questions I would be asked. She helped me feel calm, prepared and confident.
Christina from excellent from that very first meeting until after the settlement was decided, absolutely phenomenal to work with. When I was nervous, she made me comfortable, and when I didn’t understand, she explained so that I would. I never had to wonder or worry, thanks to her.”
"A hit-and-run driver left me for dead, but Julie Luhrsen was there to fight for me!
I was involved in a hit and run on the interstate. There was a guy switching lanes, driving eractically. He was all over the place. He hit me from behind, which knocked my vehicle off the road. I was tossed out onto the left shoulder of the interstate. At one point, we locked eyes, looking right at each other. I could have been dying, and he didn’t care. I watched as he bounced off at least two more cars and disappeared into the distance.
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is find the courage to stand up for yourself. Julie Luhrsen helped me muster that courage. Julie asked me about my concerns, and I told her how my main worry was about my health, how I would recover long-term. I knew if I didn’t get the care I needed, the pain would only get worse. That’s not the kind of thing you expect a law firm to worry about, but that was their priority: ‘How was I feeling?’ ‘Was I OK?’ She went on to guide me and help me get the right treatment!
Julie reassured me, told me not to worry about paying for anything. That was her concern, she said, not mine.
Meanwhile, the guy who hit me would not admit it, and his insurance company was refusing to pay. Julie took up that fight with the insurance company. She refused to back down, turning over every stone. She got the 911 calls, tracked down eyewitnesses, and then she found a witness who had video footage of the accident. When the insurance company saw that, they had to admit the guy was at fault, and they stopped fighting us.
Julie’s team protected me, educated me, and fought for me. Because of her, I got the medical care I needed, the money I needed while I was out of work, and the time I needed to heal.”
"I was rear-ended by a cell phone driver. After months of getting nowhere with the insurance company, Christina got me help in just a few days!
I was at a red light, waiting for it to change. Someone on a cell phone came up fast behind me and slammed into the back of my car.
I did what I thought I was supposed to do: call my insurance company, give them the information, and they would take care of it. But they didn’t. Trying to get help from the insurance company was a terrible experience, absolutely no help at all. It was a troublesome process trying to get the claim paid. Plus, they make it difficult getting a rental car, which my policy naturally afforded me.
After three months of getting nowhere — car damaged, I’m injured, hurting all the time — I called Christina Goldberg. I was nervous heading into our first meeting. I’d never dealt with anything like this, and I had no idea how it would all work out. Christina immediately put me at ease. We talked about what happened and made a plan. She walked me through the process, told me what to expect, and said I didn’t have to worry about finances or anything else. She would take care of it … and she did!
I came out of that first meeting feeling a huge sense of relief. Finally, someone was making me a priority. I was not going to be ignored or pushed aside. I knew Christina would fight for me.
One of the first things Christina did was contact the insurance company and get me that rental car. They balked, and she told them, ‘It’s in the policy. You have to do it.’ She also battled with them to get my car fixed — and won.
In the accident, I suffered a neck injury, and I needed to see a nerve specialist. Christina helped me find the best medical care, and she took care of all the claims and billing so I could focus on getting better.
After three months of no answers and no help, Christina had everything going in the right direction in just a few days. Without her help, I don’t know where I would be. Thank you, Christina!”
"I was in a car accident about a year ago. I was run off the road which left me with shoulder and back injuries ...
I had no idea what to do next, no clue on how to start the process of healing and putting my life back together. I was scared, hurting and confused. I knew I needed to do something legally to get help. But, as a young woman, very unfamiliar with the legal system, I knew I could easily be taken advantage of … and I wasn’t about to get played.
Then a friend recommended Julie Luhrsen. From the first meeting, I was completely comfortable, totally at ease. I had no idea what a relief Julie would bring me.
She literally took care of everything.
If I didn’t have Julie, I’d probably still be trying to figure everything out a year later. What to do about insurance, medical bills, doctors’ appointments … work … driving … there’s just so much you don’t think about until you’re in that situation.
With Julie, I talked to the insurance company exactly once, gave my statement on a three-way call with her on the line. That was it. She took care of everything else. Amazing!
Julie and her staff were persistent, helpful, answered all my questions immediately, and they stayed with me every step of the way. Thank you, Julie!”
"Someone pulled out in front of me and caused an accident that left me in a lot of pain from two bulging discs in my back ...
My neighbor recommended Julie Luhrsen because she had helped her after an accident.
I’m so glad I called Julie. We really had to fight to be compensated for my injuries. Julie was there with me through the whole process. She answered all my questions, and she never stopped fighting for me.
Honestly, if I had tried to go through this process without Julie, it would have been a nightmare. With so many doctors, the bills just kept coming. The paperwork began stacking up, and I started to really worry because I couldn’t keep track of everything. On top of that, the ER and the hospital overcharged me, which I didn’t realize at the time. Thankfully, Julie handled everything, which included going through all the bills. She discovered that I was being overcharged.
Julie’s careful work saved me thousands. Not only that, but Julie made sure I did everything exactly right, all the t’s crossed and I’s dotted in the way that would get me the biggest settlement possible. She also made sure I received the best chiropractic care, and she worked with the doctors to keep my costs down so I would have all the benefits I needed to get better.
During the whole process, Julie and her staff were so personable and attentive. I didn’t expect an attorney to be so warm and friendly, someone I would enjoy talking with. You can tell she sincerely cares. If you’re in an accident, you want someone you can trust, someone who will work in your best interest. That’s Julie.”
“About two years ago, I was enjoying a day out on Anna Maria Island. I was headed home when a young woman crossed two lanes of traffic and slammed into my car...
She had been texting and driving and just didn’t see me. In the accident, my knee was slammed against the inside of the center console so hard I ended up needing a total knee replacement.
Initially, I tried to tough it out, to look at other options, but the pain in my knee was so severe I just couldn’t take it anymore. They ask you about pain on a scale of one to ten? I was at a ten-plus for weeks. During the process with my medical care, they tried to say a pre-existing knee condition contributed to the injury, but Christina would not let it go. She just told me ‘Don’t worry about it, I got this,’ and you know what? She absolutely did!
At one point, I had to go back home to Michigan, and I thought that would be a problem having to deal with all my medical care, the surgery, recovery and everything. Nope. Christina said, ‘We’re still right here with you,’ so it was no big deal. I was able to go back home, get the medical work I needed done there. Even though I was on the other side of the country, it really felt like she was right there. The communication with her and her staff was outstanding, always there when I had a question or a concern, or if there were any issues with receiving the care I needed.
When I think about all the pain I was in, all the decisions that had to be made both in Florida and in Michigan, I’m so glad I had Christina on my side. I didn’t have to worry about a thing but getting better, because whatever came up – insurance issues, doctor problems, medical bills, whatever – I just sent it to Christina, and she took care of it.
Plus, the settlement turned out to be way better than I anticipated.”
“I was at a complete stop, in a small car, when I was rear-ended by this big van. In that moment, I was in shock, not even sure how badly I was injured. I just know I hurt – a lot...
In an effort to reduce the pain, I visited a chiropractor. The chiropractor made two recommendations: they suggested I make an appointment with an orthopedist, and that I call Christina Goldberg.
The orthopedist diagnosed a tear in my biceps tendon as well as an injury in my left shoulder that left me unable to raise my arm … I was just hurting so much!
Christina was such a comfort. She was so friendly, so compassionate, I felt like she knew me as a person. She never treated me as ‘just a client.’
Christina made sure I knew what to expect at every stage of this process … you can just tell she and her team were working for you, committed to getting you the best possible result. Any time I had a question, all I had to do was call or email, and some at their office was quick to respond.
Christina had to negotiate with both insurance companies. She got the other driver’s insurance company to pay for the damages to my car, and she got my insurance company to take care of all my injuries and related health issues. She was absolutely tireless, staying on top of both companies to make sure my interests were protected.
To think what would have happened if I had not been referred to call Christina, if I would have tried to deal with the pain and the doctors and the insurance companies myself. I would have had no idea where to start. The surgery alone cost $25,000! I would have never been able to pay for that. I’m retired. This happened to me in my 70s. It could have taken all my savings and cleaned me out to stop the hurting. But Christina went over and above. She never gave up on me, and she got me completely taken care of.”
“I was in a car accident, hit on my side with my three-week-old daughter in the car. I had some serious injuries, but thankfully my daughter turned out to be OK.
During and after, you don’t know how you will react in that situation, and there are so many things to think about. Medical bills, missing work, what will happen with the insurance. I didn’t know how we would afford all the medical bills, and they just kept coming. There was so much stress coming at me from so many angles, I couldn’t handle it on my own, and I still hurt so bad.
Then I called Christina. From the very first phone call, Christina put my mind at ease. I could feel how much Christina cared, and I knew I could trust her. I cried, because I knew, with her help, it would all be OK.
Every step of the way she was right there with me. At the hospital, all the doctors, specialists, therapists … all the insurance and legal stuff … Christina took care of all the craziness, so I could focus on the big picture – my health and safety and taking care of my little girl.
Through the process, she took all the stress off my shoulders. No matter what it was, she took care of it. Now, looking ahead, I feel great about where things are going. Because of Christina, I was able to put my life back together without having to worry.”
"I would like to highly recommend Julie for anyone who needs professional legal representation. Julie's professional, customer service and expertise is second to none. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact"
"Julie was wonderful to work with. She followed up and executed my case with ease and professionalism."
"Christina and staff have always been kind, helpful and responsive. I'd recommend them to anyone who is looking for a firm that cares about the person even more than the case itself."
"Julie S. Luhrsen is a conscientious, responsive and thorough attorney. I was most pleased with the prompt and conscientious involvement in the resolution of my auto accident on 8-30-11...
She was always available and accessible when I felt uncomfortable and worried about my case. I cannot express how much my life has improved since my recovery from the terrifying accident in which I was involved. Thank you, Julie!”
