Can a failure to wear helmet reduce claim of damages sustained by injured motorcycle rider?

Unlike with motor vehicles, motorcyclists are not covered by the no-fault law that provides benefits. You hopefully have medical payment insurance coverage that will allow you to get medical care paid for. You may have health insurance that can kick in and help pay for your medical bills. If you are not at fault at the accident, you may be able to pursue a claim against the at fault driver that will eventually give you some funds if you prevail that will be able to cover those medical bills.
